Have you been saving beach glass or beach pebbles in hopes to someday make something with it? Well then, this workshop is for you! Bring your stash of broken sea glass and small beach stones here and let’s turn some into jewelry! We’ll spend a little time appreciating each other’s collections and then determine which jewelry techniques would be best suit your specimens so you can design the piece.
Some options, as time allows are a pair of earrings, a pendant and or a cabochon. We will cover many techniques including wire wrapping, drilling, reshaping and grinding, safety, and how to make ear wires along with bezel options. This will be a relaxed class with plenty of discussion, brainstorming, demonstrations, and yes, planning by drawing-an important step when creating any design where resources are limited and, in my opinion a good practice. We’ll take a short break for lunch, so please provide your own. Tools Included. Additional Materials/silver wire available for purchase.
