Currently residing in Newtown, Connecticut, Kelly Makuch is a multimedia artist whose experiences have included painting, sculpture, advertising, film, and for the past 18 years kilnformed glass. She has found that the medium of glass has freed her to creatively express the subliminal powers of both realistic and abstract representation.
Growing up in upstate New York and on the East End beaches of Long Island, Kelly has been drawn to capturing moments in nature. She is fascinated by the natural world and science. She enjoys reflecting on how she is linked to the larger world around her. It is the process of artistically translating those reflections and relationships that is her greatest joy.
